With only 4 quail to show from the CPQ hatch of last month from 30 eggs I decided to hatch some more. I got 24 eggs from a breeder but who has hundreds of thid breed and almost every colour imaginable, which would mean that pairs of different coloured quail would not be related at all.

Being so tiny it is thought that candling the eggs can affect them adversely so I didn’t candle them.
3-6 December 15 hatched though 2 died very early on. I now have 13 however in a lovely range of colours:
